Sandeep Pawar, Broker, RE/MAX Gold Realty, holds the RENE, SRS, ABR and SRES designations

The four designations, and who awards them

    • RENE: Real Estate Negotiation Expert. Awarded by the Real Estate Business Institute (REBI), a not-for-profit affiliate of NAR. Requires coursework in negotiation strategy and a commitment to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.
    • SRS: Seller Representative Specialist. Awarded by REBI. Requires seller-representation coursework plus demonstrated experience representing sellers. REBI describes it as the premier seller agency designation.
    • ABR®: Accredited Buyer’s Representative. Conferred by NAR’s Center for REALTOR® Development. Requires the designated curriculum plus practical buyer-representation experience.
    • SRES®: Seniors Real Estate Specialist. An NAR designation focused on clients 50 and over: downsizing, estate sales and the financial decisions that come with them.

You can see the RENE, SRS and ABR® certificates on the Designations page.

What this means if you are buying

As an ABR® and RENE, Sandeep prices every offer from recent comparable sales, agrees a walk-away number with you before you offer, and negotiates price, deposit, conditions and closing as one package. Across 12 recent purchases, his buyers paid a combined $596,287 below asking. See every deal with prices.

What this means if you are selling

The SRS training is built around the seller’s side: pricing from evidence, preparation that pays for itself, marketing that reaches the right buyers, and handling offers so you keep control. Sandeep markets homes in six languages: English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Kannada and Telugu. How Sandeep sells.

What this means if you are 50+ or helping a parent

The SRES® designation is about the moves that carry the most emotional and financial weight: downsizing, selling a family home, or settling an estate. Downsizing & seniors.

Why designations matter when you choose an agent

Every Ontario agent passes the same licensing education. Designations are optional and take extra study, and some, like the SRS and ABR®, also require proven transaction experience. They are one of the few signals you can verify before you hire someone. Sandeep also trains and mentors other REALTORS®, so what he learns is passed on.
